This paper theoretically analyzes the Rayleigh backscattering of erbium-doped fiber, calculates the relation between the Rayleigh backscattering light and pump power,erbium-doped fiber length, and signal power, and offers a mean of using an isolator to reduce the Rayleigh backscattering light.
