The slit image of a rainbow hologram has been analysed in the case where the laser beam is hormal to the hologram. The image of a slit on the screen takes the shape of hyperbola curve, and its analytical expressions has been derived. The result is agree with the experiment.To study a rainbow hologram by this approach is also dicussed.
