Abstract:In this paper, the interaction between the single laser field and three two-level atoms are studied. A method utilzing the coherent states variables for the laser field and appropriate spin states variables for two-level atoms is developed. The temporal development of the photon number, as well as the motion of each atoms under different initial states are obtained. In the case when the number of photons are very large, the result obtained in quantum theory consists with the result obtained in semiclassical theory.
