In this paper,the photonics is stated briefly.And according to the requirements of optical fiber communication and optical computer,the states and developing way of integrated optics (microphotonics) are discussed.Finaly,the breakthroughs in integrated optics research for capturing the commanding elevation of photonics are presented.
