In this paper,the reflective characteristics for tow typical contact type connectors of optical fiber are described,mathematical models for fiber optical connectors is presented;The index matching material and the high index layer on the polished fiber endfaces are investigated.The method and caculations formal for the refractive index and thickness of high index layers on perpendicular fiber endfaces is given.The results from experiment agree with caculations.
