This paper presents a self focusing filter which is composed of matched filter with sine form and Fresnel zone plate by means of area coded method.The otpical setup can be simplified and adjusted readily while detecting image edge.The principle of detecting the image edge with the composite filter is discussed.The manufacturing method and the experimental results are also presented.
