Abstract:We have obtained and analyzed the Raman spectra of six kinds of dinosaur fossils from three regions of Chuxiong by Micro-Raman spectroscopy.We found that main compound of all dinosaur fossils surface is calcium carbonate (CaCO 3).We find that a decrease in band intensity at around 284 cm -1 due to loss of v (CO 2- 3) stretching vbrations is correlated with the increase in age of the fossils.The result provides valuable dates for database of dinosaur fossils from Chuxiong.
