Abstract:The influence of spontaneous emission factor on the nonlinear behaviors of vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers(VCSELs) with multiple external optical feedbacks was studied by establishing a visual VCSELs model through SIMULINK.Results indicate that VCSELs undergo the regions of chaos, multiple, double and single period orderly(contrarily) with increasing the external cavity length(external mirror reflectivity). It is also shown that a large spontaneous emission factor can suppress the nonlinear behaviors of VCSELs introduced by the optical feedback and improve the device stabilities.
