The chaos synchronization of master-slave vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser(VCSEl) was investigated based on a Simulink dynamic model. Results indicate that the synchronization happens when the apparatus parameters of the transmitter and the receiver match well and the coupling of them is strong enough (>9%);this synchronization needs these parameters matching accurately, and the 1% of the bias of the current, device loss and inject aperture of the receiver can lead to the loss of synchronigation of the system. It is further shown that the unwanted effect induced by the parameter error can be suppressed by increasing the optical coupling efficiency of the two lasers,i.e. the system can keep synchronizing even though there is certain mismatch(1% for this paper) for the typical apparatus parameters(e.g. the device loss) of the receiver.
