Abstract:The dynamic survivable routing provisioning problem under shared risk link group(SRLG)constraints for dynamic connection requests in wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) networks is studied, and a novel protection scheme called mixed shared-path protection(MSPP)to tolerate the single SRLG failure is proposed. With MSPP,each connection will be assigned a primary path and a SRLG-disjoint backup path.Differing from previous shared-path protection(SPP)scheme,MSPP allows some primary and backup paths to share the common resources if the corresponding constraints can be satisfied.Simulation results show that MSPP yields better solutions than SPP.
