Abstract:The gain characteristics of G652 optical fiber backward spontaneous Raman scattering pulse in the self-generating distributed G652 fiber Raman amplifier are discussed.The threshold pump powers of anti-Stokes Raman(ASR) and Stokes Raman(SR) in the self-generating distributed G652 fiber Raman amplifier are 25.4 W and 18 W respectively.When the excited power is 52 W,the gain of ASR and SR are 5.0 dB and 8.6 dB respectively.In optical time domain reflection(OTDR) curve of amplified anti-Stokes and Stokes spontaneous Raman scattering signal the threshold time changes with pump power,and will move forward with the increase pump power.Amplified anti-Stokes spontaneous Raman scattering signal has the temperature effect,and this effect has been applied to long distance distributed optical fiber temperature sensor system.
