For the high-speed dynamic gas-liquid two-phase flow, and based on the measuring principle of binocular stereo vision,a novel virtual stereo vision sensor, which contains just a single high-speed camera and two reflector sets,is developed to measure three-dimensional feature parameters of upward bubbles in the bubble generating device. The three-dimensional measurement model of the virtual stereo vision sensor is established, and the structure parameters of the sensor are ultimately optimized by analyzing the simulation results of the structure parameters influence on the actual size of view field, the size of the sensor and the measurement error. The experimental results show that the measured spatial distance error of the sensor is lower than 0.14 mm and the relative error is lower than 0.49%.The virtual stereo vision sensor is suitable for the dynamic measurement of the gas-liquid two-phase flow, and can achieve the three-dimensional reconstruction of the motion trail for bubbles.
