Co-doped ZnO nanorods are fabricated by the chemical vapor deposition method.Via the energy dispersive X-ray analysis,the molar ratios of three samples are 0.4%,1.6% and 2.4%.The Co-doped ZnO with doping concentration of 2.4% is still regular nanorods.ZnO nanorods with a doping concentration of 0.4% show a paramagnetic behavior.X-ray diffraction patterns show that the co-doped ZnO nanorods are wurtzite structure of ZnO.With the increment of doping concentration,Co-doped ZnO nanorods show ferromagnetic characteristic instead of the paramagnetic behavior.The X-ray absorption fine structure results suggest that the room-temperature ferromagnetism of co-doped ZnO nanorods originates from the Co cluster phases.
