    摘要:

    对相干光正交频分复用(CO-OFDM)系统时序和频率 同步算法进行了改进,消除了Park的方法中由于时间标尺旁瓣引起 的定时模糊性,利用单个训练符号实现了和Schmidl方法一样宽的频偏估计范围,且保持 同等的估计精 度。在20Gb/s的CO-OFDM系统上对改进算法进行仿真测试的结果表 明,通过色散补偿的辅助,改进的同步 算法方案实现了精确的定时估计,和节省训练符号且宽范围的频差估计。此外,色散补偿的 辅助提升了子载波恢复的性能,使得误比特率(BER)为10-3时系统的光信噪比(OSNR)要求降低了3dB。

    Abstract:

    Since the timing and frequency synchro nizations are critical steps in the signal processing of the coherent optical or thogonal frequency-division-multiplexing (CO-OFDM) system,modified methos are proposed for timing and frequency synchronizations respectively in the CO-OFDM system in this paper.The modified timing synchronization method uses a modified training symbol weighted by a pseudo-noise (PN) sequence and solves the ambigui ty problem in Park′s method,while the modified frequency synchronization method uses a single training symbol to implement both the partial and the integer fre quency offset estimations.and maintains equivalent accuracy compared with schmid l′s method which needs two training symbols.The modified synchromization scheme is tested in a 20Gbit/s 256-subcarrier quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) modulated CO-OFDM system by Matlab simulation,and the results show that the mod ified scheme gives a more accurate timing estimation and a more economical frequ ency offset estimation in a wider frequency range.In addition,with the aid of th e chromatic dispersion (CD) compensation based on the results of the CD monitori ng before the synchronization steps,the modified timing synchronization works mo re stably,and the subcarrier recovery achieves better performance,reducing the o ptical signal-to-noise rate (OSNR) requirement by 3dB at the bit error rate (BER) of 10-3.
