In order to find a scientific and effective test method for asphalt pa vement response monitoring, the fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor used to measure asphalt pavement response is studied .The FBG sensor used in this paper is calibrated by uniaxial compression test,by which the calibration equ ation is obtained.FBG sensors are embeded in asphalt pavement successfully based on embedded technology provi ded in this paper. Results measured under static load and results calculated by BISAR 3.0are compared.St ructure responses of asphalt pavement under different loads, velocities and temperatures are measured.Resul ts show that the FBG sensors embedded scheme proposed in this paper can ensure that sensors′ survival rate r eaches 87%.Strain values measured by FBG sensors are close to calculated results by BISAR 3.0,which indic a tes that the response monitored by FBG sensor can effectively and accurately reflect the strain time history under different pavement conditions. When the speed is reduced by 8km/h,pavement strai n response is reduced by more than 100με.Moreover,when temperature is increased by 8℃, pavement strain response is increased by more than 200με.
