Light distribution requirements are very high with wide applications o f LED in the field of road lighting.The asymmetrical rectangular light distribution is needed in the multi -lane road lighting.According to non-imaging optical principle,we establish the corresponding relationship betw een the point source and road. Then the reflector with the uniform asymmetrical rectangular intensity distribut ion on the road for extended source is obtained by using the appropriate feedback optimization.Simulation results sh ow that the light energy is limited in the rectangular area of 20m×12m.The horizontal illumination u niformity and vertical illumination uniformity can reach 85% and 80%,respectively.It can meets the requirements in r oad lighting application.And the overall uniformity of illuminance is 80.13% by the actual test.This can prove th e feasibility and practicality of the reflector design in road lighting.
