Abstract:A fiber Bragg grating (FBG) dislocation meter with wide range based on dual spring is designed. The spring is used as the displacement-force conversion component,the axia l strain of the strain sensing chip adhered to FBG is obtained,and then the F BG central wavelength change is obtained. The displacement transfer relation between mechanical structure of FBG dislocation meter and the strain se nsing chip is theoretically analyzed, in addition the theoretical sensitivity coefficient formula of the sensor is giv en.The sensor is calibrated by the uniform change of displacement,and the static characteristi cs of the sensor are analyzed according to the data.The results show that the degreees of lineari ty of the sensor are 2.445% and 2.386%,the hystereses are 3.385% and 1.237%,and the sensitivity coefficients are 34.93pm/cm and 31.20pm/cm,respectively.The FBG d islocation meter has the advantages of simple structure,large range,high measurement accuracy, anti electromagnetic interference and self compensation of temperature.It can be ap plied to remote monitoring of long-term relative subsidence of complex undergro und engineering structures.
