Abstract:Parameters correction of the semi-finished FBG array at the later stag e during production can effectively reduce the parameter error of the finished F BG array.Fiber mode coupling theory and optical Fourier transform analysis were applied to analyse the spectrum characteristics of FBG arrays respectively,so as to compare the error between the spectrum characteristics of semi-finished F B G arrays with the ideal characteristics of target FBG arrays.The parameter valu es of FBG arrays were iteratively updated by applying VSLMS algorithm,so that t he curve of spectrum characteristics of semi-finished FBG arrays were adjusted t o get close to the ideal curve until the error meets the set value,and the fina l error of the structure parameters were achieved to correct the parameters in t he semi-finished FBG arrays.Two spectral analysis schemes were used to simulat e the spectral characteristics of single,2tap and 4tap FBG arrays,respectivel y.The results showed that the optical mode coupling analysis has more pre- cise p erformance,which reduced the fabrication error of FBG arrays to -43.6dB,-33. 6d B,and -24.6dB,respectively.Compared with the optical Fourier transform analy s is,the error is decreased by 36.7dB,30.4dB,and 22.5dB,respectively.Moreover ,the degree of optimization decreases with the increase of the number of FBGs i n FBG array.
