    摘要:

    提出了一种聚二甲基硅氧烷(polydimethylsiloxane,PDMS)封装的液滴型光纤平面应变传感 器,用于监控薄片型工件的形变情况。该传感 器由一段标准单模光纤(single mode fiber,SMF) 弯曲形成的回音壁组成,其形状类似液滴,并被封装在由PDMS 制作的方形模具中。实验通过监测传感器输出光谱波长的 变化情况来获 取待测工件所受的外界应变的大小及方向。实验结果表明:当传感器受到沿液滴型结构短轴 方向的应变 时,输出光谱蓝移,应变灵敏度为-0.108 nm/με;当传感器受到 沿液滴型结构长轴方向的应变时,输出光 谱红移,应变灵敏度为0.084 nm/με;实验还研究了受力方向与 短轴成45°夹角时的情况,为应变的方向判 断提供了参考;该传感器对温度的响应灵敏度为-1.557 nm/℃。所 提出的光纤平面应变传感器,不仅可以 检测应变的大小,而且可以通过应变灵敏度来识别应变的方向,达到平面应变测量的目的, 在诸如镀膜、弯曲等领域具有很好的应用前景。

    Abstract:

    An optical fiber plane strain sensor with droplet-like structure enca psulated by polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) was proposed to monitor the deformation of thin slice workpiece.The sensor was form ed by bending a piece of standard single mode fiber (SMF) to form a whispering wall structure,shap ed like a droplet,and was encapsulated in a square mold made of PDMS.The magni tude and direction of the external strain on the workpiece were obtained by monitoring th e change of the output spectrum wavelength of the sensor in the experiment.Experimental results showed that when the sensor was strained along the small axis of the droplet-like structure,the output spe ctrum was blue-shifted with the sensitivity of -0.108 nm/με.While the output spectrum was red-shif ted when the sensor was strained along the large axis with the sensitivity of 0.084 nm/με.The experi ment also studied the condition when the force direction was 45° with the short axis,which provided a reference for judging the strain direction,and temperature sensitivity of the sensor was -1.557 nm/ ℃.Therefore,the proposed optical fiber plane strain sensor could not only detect the magnitude of strain, but also distinguish the directions of strain through strain sensitivities,so as to achieve the purpose of plane strain measurement. The sensor will have a good application prospect in such fields as coating,bend ing and so on.
